Jeff Usner Shares On Testing in your affiliate network business

Testing Your Affiliate Marketing Networks

A lot of people talk about testing many different things but I want to talk about something that 99 percent of people don’t do. I’m talking about testing affiliate networks and offers.

Let’s say you have a car insurance offer. You’ll find that one offer will have many different affiliate networks. When you are starting off you might think it’s all the same whichever affiliate network you use but its not.

About 3 months ago I had this great offer and everything was going fine. I was already getting consistent results but I still took the time to test that exact same offer using two or three additional networks. When I did that, I saw an immediate increase of over a thousand dollars to two thousand dollars extra a day. Even to this day just the fact that we split tested affiliate networks has helped us make an extra 30,000 a month.

It’s not always been that big a result, especially for smaller campaigns. However, almost every time I do this I find a network that outperforms all the others. What I have found is that even with the same offer and the same landing page, some networks will have higher conversion rates.

This is advice that is very valuable because you can get tens of thousands of dollars extra simply by testing different networks.

The second thing you test is different offers. For example, if it is auto insurance or credit cards, you should test different offers to see which one will make the most money for you. This is also true for lead generation. If I am trying to generate a lead for a real estate company, I would use the same traffic but I would rotate different offers. I use a script to automatically rotate offers and landing pages to find the ones that work best. You can find an offer that makes two to three times as a similar one but you won’t know which one is the best until you test it.

Go ahead and do these two strategies, testing networks and offers, and you will see a major increase in your business.
